The OME torsion bars are the "icing on the cake" of the suspension modification on vehicles with this type of suspension on the front axle. They do not change anything in terms of ride height, since this is done by adjusting the torision bars and is predetermined and limited by the suspension, but the handling can change significantly.
Especially when heavy loads such as winches, bumpers, or even a snow plow are mounted, the original torsion bars are quickly overloaded and tire prematurely. By increasing the spring rate by 15-20%, the best compromise between handling, axle articulation and durability is achieved here.
However, the tuning of the shock absorbers also has a significant influence on handling. Therefore OME torsion bars should only be used with approved shock absorbers.
The torsion bars can only be supplied in pairs and are part of the TÜV parts certificate for optional use in the OME complete chassis.
