The OME Nitrocharger Sport is the further development of the classic OME Nitrocharger. It is also a 2-tube gas pressure shock absorber in low pressure design, but works with three instead of two working valves. In the working piston is now a rebound and a compression valve integrated, as it is otherwise only used in shock absorbers of the 1-tube design. The bottom valve as an additional compression stage valve has been retained. This allows a wider tuning and a better response for more drive comfort with higher safety reserves at the same time.
The Nitrocharger Sport series was was introduced in 2006, although the "Sport" designation is not intended to indicate sporty toughness, but only to distinguish it from the "old" Nitrocharger. The Nitrocharger Sport has replaced the Nitrocharger for almost all applications and is used wherever possible in all new developments.
Also the "Sport" was developed specifically for the requirements in the 4x4 area and extended in length, wherever it is possible, up to 50mm.
Therefore, a use with both the series springs, as well as with the OME height-adjustment springs, with a few exceptions, is possible.
