Must not be combined with the RBM+ booster module

The DC/DC charging system has been specially developed for vehicles with Euro6 engines, start/stop function or voltage-reducing alternators, but all older vehicles also benefit from the improved charging of the auxiliary battery. Regardless of the charging voltage of the alternator, the auxiliary battery is charged using the optimum 3-4 stage charging process (bulk, absorption, equelise, float) according to the selected battery type (lead or lithium battery). For travelling applications, the system can be supplemented with IBS-DBS (monitor with relay) or IBS-DBMLSK (link start kit relay). The DBM20 selects the beste use of relays of DC/DC converters itself and guarantees the best charging of the auxiliary battery. In emergency situations, the manual link function can be activated for emergency starting from the auxiliary battery or winch operation (if IBS-DBS or link start kit IBS-DBMLSK is installed). The auxiliary battery is proven to hold more charge than conventional systems. The DBM20 is suitable for use in the engine compartment and is moulded with silicone for protection. Nevertheless, it should be installed at a certain distance from extreme heat sources such as the exhaust or turbo. The DBM 20A/S must not be expanded with the RBM+, as this function is already integrated.
